Allie, my guess is that he must have one of the macro-lens (the ones for taking detailed close-up pictures of tiny objects). Such lenses are very expensive (the larger the zoom capacity, the more expensive the lens). Telephoto lens, on the other hand, are for taking great landscape shots, and they also get more expensive with increasing quality. I wish I had a set of both lenses! Plus, this guy has to be using a range of lens filters - there are a variety of filters that make the colors come out wonderful - you name it, warm, cold, etc .... all kinds of hues

P.S. But anyway ... having all of this expensive equipment is not going to help much if you don't have some considerable knowledge of photography. You have to know how to use all of this stuff (besides the basic photograping "rules") in order to take pictures as this guy does.
