Anemone vs Maxi-Jet Mod

Well it was bound to happen. One of my BTA's decided to get too close to my powerhead. Here are the photos.

Before:
BTA was at the back of my tank.

Then he decided to move again. Right next to my two powerheads.

After:
I should have taken photos of him stuck to the powerhead. But I was in a panic to free him from certain death.

So I removed him from the glass to his current new place on a rock in the front right side of my tank.

Now he's doing better !

You need to post warning signs for him. Glad you were there to save him.

Looks like the clown was trying to stage an intervention..."Dude! Go back down! Go back down!"

Glad it ended well!

I stopped his path with a mag-float, but he still extended his tentacles into the pump anyways. Oh well, he's getting better everyday.

Oh man, sorry to hear that - hope it completely recovers for you. I've seen firsthand the damage a powerhead can do to the wandering anemone.

I'd recommend therapy for him.. tell him that he has a reason to live!

Seriously, I hope he recovers fast.

When we had our SW set up ourAnemone did the same thing. Mangled himself in the power head too...he had 3 tentacles left...but survived. Not too pretty.
