Jelly fish!!


Not sure but I think it's some sort of butterfly fish.


A tomato clown, couple of yellow tangs and not sure on the other.


Some more yellow tangs and a butterfly fish in the background.


Heniochus Black and White Butterflyfish, some yellow tangs, some blue tangs among others.


Copperband butterfly, a couple of black and white ocellaris clownfish (I think) and ocellaris clownfish.

I went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium when I was probably about 11 years old and I loved it! I didn't appreciate it the way I would now though because I was not yet keeping fish. My husband and I are going to take a road trip to San Fransisco this summer and after seeing the pics, he definetly wants to stop at Monterey so that we can see the aquarium. I am so excited!

The first pictures I posted were the Monterey Bay Aquarium, the second and third group were the Atlanta Aquarium in GA. I believe. The Monterey Bay Aquarium doesn't have any tropical saltwater fish, like the photos above.

Being an ATL guy, I also have a TON of pics if you want some...

The only thing is they have had some problems with the whale sharks... they've already had to euthanize 2 I think... they might just not be meant to be kept in aquariums...

My family and I love going to the Monterey Bay Aqarium. We get a season pass every year. We have been to a few other aqariums, but none have ever compared to the one in Monterey.

That type of fish in the first picture (sheephead) were really fun to be around when I went scuba diving off of Catalina.

They would swim right up to you and look for food, and swim away.

I thought it was kind of funny.

Is that what they're called ? My boss spear fishes off of Catalina. I told him the Great White's frequent the Northern waters ! Have you seen any while diving ?
