My SW tank and stuff

I don't have a good one of the whole tank yet that is decent. If I use the flash then I get the glare from it. I'll try and get a better shot this weekend using some of the manual settings. But I do have 2 good pics so far.

First is one of my 2 emerald crabs. This one being the male. His name is Mr. Crabs from Spongebob Squarepants. The next is one of the 2 green chromis that has made it this far. No name for him yet.

It's an Olympus C-765. 4 MP, 10X optical zoom.

I'll look at the manual and see if has those settings.

They do a great job. And they're neat to look at. The bigger of the 2 gets spooked quite easily and does a great job of hiding.

Do they eat any algae or are they more just all around scavengers? Sure would like something to eat up the Ol Green Hair. lol

They do like algae. Not sure about the hair algae as I don't have any of that right now. I have read they'll eat the bubble algae. But they are definitely interesting little creatures.

Thanks for the pics, that is the first time I've seen an emerald crab. He's really great.

It looks like one of the chromis died in the last day or so. I had 4 in there before the cold snap hit a week ago. That took out 2 when the temp in the tank dropped down to quickly. I ended buying a second heater so it could keep up in the heating when it's cold.

I tried looking to see if I could find both but wasn't able to. I then did a feeding and only 1 went for the food. Highly unusual. I can normally spot the other as he has a regular hiding spot. However a couple of days ago, the one that I still have starting picking on the other guy. Nipping at his fins and such. Yesterday everything looked to be back to normal. The one swimming all around and the other in his little spot. Today....nothing.

I think my emerald crabs had another good meal.

On the plus side, I bought 2 clown fish on Saturday and they look to be doing quite well in the quarantine tank.

I've had a little trouble getting Chromis to live. Seems like if one of them gets sick or injured the others will gang up and take it out. I tried keeping 5 of them but the head honcho always killed two of them. So, 3 it is, I guess.

Nice clown video BTW
