Went to my lfs today and while waiting for the guy to finish with a few other customers I looked at his sw tanks. I've been reading what I've stumbled across on the forum about these blue demons but I'm curious - at my lfs the fish looked pretty much just like what you have and they were labled as "Blue Devils" but he had about six of them in a 15-25g tank (I'm not sure how big they get, these ones were a little over an inch) and they just stuck to themselves. I meant to talk to the guy about them but I'm easily distracted when its my turn to pick out the fishies.

This is one of the few fish that have every really jumped out at me, their coloring is so beautiful (in my top three favorite shadows of blue heh) and I'd love to have more infomation about thse guys - I just can't seem to find any. Congratulations by the way on catching the little demon

From what I have read, the blue demon and blue devil are the same fish, they are also known as blue damselfish. They get to be 2" and really territorial. But they are really beautiful fish nonetheless.

yea and they are also very hardy and they tend to live up to their multiple common names being a "devil/demon" to other fish.

They are extremely hardy, I don't have mine in a proper tank(yet) and it is doing great.

I have mine in a 5 gallon nano, but they do best in a 30 gallon min if you want it to show good colors and not be too stressed.

Ah, thank you very much. I'm very intrigued by those little guys and I'm hoping when I'm able to finish (I need to be careful how I use that word, if I ever do get a large enough tank I'll be wanting an even bigger one before long) my fw projects I'll beable to look into sw, especially the blue demons. Thank you for sharing some pictures of your little guy!

Here is a pic of the largest piece of LR, one of the hermit crabs, and the Talbot's damsel.

Hope you enjoy them.

I like the Devil

Take some more pictures! I'm interested in seeing some of the whole aquarium.

I'm trying to get a larger better tank built by someone for me so I don't plan on having any pics till after that and that should be at the end of the month. I am also getting rid of the Talbot's damsel since it is way to aggressive for the small tank.

Well good luck with the larger tank.
To bad about the Damsel, I guess it's the right thing to do though.

I am keeping the Talbot's Damsel because the Blue Demon died just a couple of hours ago.
