Sea Cucumber and fish at the same time?

I have a 40 gallon tank (with a 20-22 gallon tank connected) and i was told that a sea cucumber would be a good next move. I only have a tang in there thats been in there about a month. First off is the sea cucumber even a good idea? Second if i were to buy it could i buy a fish as well (either a blenny or some other fish relatively the same size)?
