I just purchased a red spotted lawnmower blenny and some time at night it jumped out of the tank :|

It may have been about four hours or more before we found out and put him back in the tank. Right now he is just sitting on the tank floor breathing heavily and doesn't respond to anything. Is there anything we can do to help him recover or is it a lost cause?

I've had a coral beauty angelfish carpet surf before and it didn't recover. I think you're doing all that you can do for it. Just keep it in the tank unless you are sure it has died. Hope your blenny recovers.

TG you caught it while still breathing. Keep it dark and leave it alone. Let it recover(hope so) without any further disturbances/stress.
