What kind of snail is this?

Went to the aquarium store today and bought a couple nerite snails that had apparently just shipped in, on my request.

But these guys are clearly not nerites. I wanted nerites because they can survive in freshwater tanks, like the one I have, but the two I got seem to be saltwater.

What are these, and will they survive in my freshwater tank if I acclimate them from the saltwater bag they're currently in?

Someone suggested that they were ceriths, which they do seem to resemble.

Recognize them?

Sorry, cannot see the picture.

Hopefuly someone who knows better will be around soon (rainman?). But I believe that saltwater snails really cannot survive in freshwater... unless there is some exception.

I can see it now, It looks like a cerith...

Again, I suggest you give them back. Ceriths are reef (saltawater) snails, and most likely will not survive in a FW tank.

Yes, I also believe that it is either a Cerith or a Clypeomorus species of MARINE ONLY snail. (It looks more like a Clypeomorus snail) wouldn't you agree?
