please help stocking aquarium question

my 29 gallon is about cycled. I plan on placing 3 green chromis in it when it finishes cycling. I have read that if one adds too many fish, it will over load the system and put it in another cycle. how long do we wait between adding fish if we plan on adding at 1 to 2 at a time after the original 3 until tank is fully stocked

I'd give it 2-3 weeks, checking your ammonia and nitrite readings regularly after adding the fish...wait for any spikes to get cycled through, then add your next fish. Adding just 1 or 2 at a time is a good idea. Just be sure that your most aggressive species is the last one in the tank.

Yer as sean said 2-3 weeks are good time barriers

What other fish do you plan on putting in the tank?

It will depend on which method you used to cycle the tank.
If you used the ammonia method, then you can fully stock the tank.
If you used the LR cure method, then you will need to add the fish in small numbers, start with 3 and keep checking your ammonia levels. If your ammonia stays at 0 for 2 weeks then add no more than 2 fish at a time, leave 3 weeks between adding fish and keep testing for ammonia. If you start to see ammonia you will need to do some WC AND HOLD OFF PUTTING ANY MORE FISH IN UNTIL YOU HAVE THE AMMONIA READING 0

at reccomended stocking levels you would be on or just over your limit by adding 3 chromis as its reccomended 1 inch of full grown fish to each 16 litres (18 by some)so a 3 inch fully grown fish requires 48 litres ,,, you work it out on the full size the fish will grow to not the size its put in at
