Saltwater Fish Food - Topics related to the feeding of saltwater fish and invertebrates. It seems like new foods are being introduced all the time for the saltwater aquarium hobby. Pellets, frozen food, freeze dried, flake food and home-made fish foods are very popular. Feeding newly introduced saltwater fish species can sometimes be very difficult. Use this board to discuss your marine fish food issues or tips.

DT's Live phytoplankton

How much phytoplankton should I feed and how many times per week? I only have a toadstool, a couple of mushrooms, and some little feather dusters that would be eating it. Also, what is the best way to feed it? First time I put it directly into the tank the amount that was stated on the bottle, which seemed like alot. It said to feed every couple of days, but I waited for about five days and then I put it into a syringe and did more of a localized feeding.

Two or three times a week is fine. Fish shouldn't like it, but corals and pods will love it.
