Lymphocistis

Hi all,
Does anyone here had experience with Lymphocistis on fish?
What I know is that you have to have good water quality and feed food soaked in Zoecon or Vitimins. Other than that I have no idea, I had never had a fish with this desease. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

lymphocycistis is a virus which infects a cell, and grows it to over 100,000 its size and it can rupture, There is rarely any point in isolating a fish with lymphocystis, unless the lesion is causing the fish difficulties e.g. in the mouth or in the gills or the fish has gone down with a secondary bacterial infections. lymphocystis is so poorly infectious it does not spread well between fish. I've have never seen the virus spread naturally fish to fish in a tank. it normally only enters a susceptible host via a preexisting wound. Certainly co-habitation challenges do not work as an infectious model for this parasites.

Thank you for the information, have you treated fish with this disease? If so, do you have a prefer way of treating it?

Thanks for the information, but just incase you did not read my first post I already knew to soak their food in vitamins. Thanks for your help but I was hoping to hear of a different treatment or something I did not already know.
