Tiny White Bumps On Tang & Angel

Greetings to all,

I have a slight issue in one of my smaller tanks (30 gal saltwater). My angel and yellow tang have about 3 to 4 tiny white dots on their fins. This appeared in the past 48 hrs but could have been a bit longer but that is when I noticed it. My tank readings are all “Great” , my salinity weight is 1.026 which is higher than yesterday but I have added copper & a natural fungal remedy (PIMAFIX Antifungal Fish Remedy) to the tank which may have set the salinity reading off this morning but if it still is high this evening I will change out some water to a lower concentration.

My concern is that this does not look like typical ICH. The fish are not rubbing anything which is traditional and the all white dots are about the size of pin heads maybe a bit smaller. Could something like this be caused by stress as they are new additions and several of the fish did not play well together for the first 24 hours & I should just remain calm or is it truly a fungus and keep treating with copper & antifungal solution?

PS I have removed active filter agent in order to keep the medication constant. I will also take a picture or 2 if something that small will showup.

A follow up from my earlier post since I have completed all tests and the readings are as follows....

pH = 8.4
ammonia NH3/NH4 = 0.75
nitrite NO2 = 0.0
nitrate = 0.0

I am still a little concerned about a higher salt weight and the ammonia can come down so I will do a 25% or 10 gal water change tonight. On a positive note the fish look happy and are now playing well with each other.

Could be stress related ICH or it could also be irritation from rubbing on something.

could also be related to high ammonia levels, i had a similar experience with a blue tang and was told by my LFS that tangs are sensitive to ammonia levels. try bringing it down to .25 or less

Most likely ICH. Got any pics of them?
