Hi I have a red stripe angel. I have had it for a little over 2 weeks. the first week was in a QT. Since putting it in my main tank a small white ball type thing has appeared on her top lip. her behavior in the tank is normal and is still feeding great. I have read about mouth fungus but she has none of the symptoms that goes with it. Please could someone help me find out what this white thing is. I tried taking a photo but she wont stay still. thanks.Nathan.

when my guppies get that its normally from banging into something i normally treat the fish or the tank the same way i do with white spot. hope you fix it and enjoy the fishy

but before taking my action

get someones elses word because i would feel really bad if anything bad happened

thanks for that our LFS thought it might be the same as she is still eating and active so they did not think it was mouth fungus. they advised parasite treatment and see how it goes. will let you know

sounds like some sort of fungal infection put back in qt and treat until clear as this could infect other fish in your main tank and 1 week for a angel is not long enough in qt 3-4 weeks is reccomended

its some kind of fungal problem my flame angel had that I used PraziPro on the whole tank and it fixed my flame angel in two days and also my coral beauty in a day but the coral beauty fungus was different

ive seen this ball a few times on my damsels, it didnt appear to cause stress and just fell off after a few days
