Blue Spotted Toby, unable to swim for 1 week! Need opinions!

I'm in need of some opinions here. I've had a blue spotted toby for 3 1/2 yrs, she's been great, never sick or anything. Last week I spotted her on the bottom of the tank, bright eyed and awake, but unable to swim up. She has full use of her fins, no signs of parasites or fungi, and can skoot around on the bottom. I've had to hand feed her for the last week because of her inability to float up. At first I thought she might be stressed because I just moved to another town, but she was fine the first week in the new house, now this. I am unsure of what to do other than make sure she has a healthy diet.

My tank is 30 gal, and I also have a tomato clown of 3 1/2 yrs, chocolate chip starfish of 3 wks, and 12- 15lbs of live rock. I ran tests on my water, and everything is within normal parameters, including temp. The only thing I have noticed new is my live rock now has not only a reddish growth (which it's had for years), but there is also some witish growth on the live rock as well.

If anyone has any suggestions, or ideas of what the problem might be, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

I'm not sure if Tobys could suffer from swim bladder, but from physiology classes, that could potentially be the cause if he/she can't swim upwards. I would suggest a general medication, such as Jungle Fungus Eliminator, just to see if that helps in order to help diagnose. If it doesn't work, then you could elminate any internal fungal infection as the cause. It is pretty harmless and I have used it as a prevention medication. Also, since you moved, any sudden changes in water temp (such as during transport or refilling) could lead to swimbladder malfunction. Do some research and then if it sounds like your fish's symptoms, I'd head to the LFS and ask for medication advice there. Good luck!
