MY fish died, want to know why?
i had a mated pair of ocellaris clownfish and both of them died, the male a 4 days ago, the female today, they were both being very lethargic and wernt eating, and first i thought it might have been sw ich but white spots never appeared and my blue tang hasn't gotten sick and it was in the tank longer then them. The female started swimming sideways then she just went crazy in circles then stopped and floated down and before i took it out my fire shrimp got it and took it to its cave. The water parameters were good. Ammonia 0, nitrites 0, nitrates 10, my blue tang is doing very good, eats daily and even its the algae on the liverock. i started treating them for ich with Kick-Ich and i continued cuz it said it also cures fungus. I also hand an anemone that they botch liked but when they started feeling bad they wouldn't go it anymore. I need your help figuring out why they died, dont want it to happen to rest of fish. had them for a 6 weeks, didnt start feeling bad till week ago, now they dead. Thank u.

Umm it might have been some kind of swim bladder(forgot the name of the thing that makes fish stay under water) infection or something from the inside. since it messed with there eating and swim bladder. Also the tang will get not to big but needs more swiming space. Get more LR you have the least you can have in a 30. Maybe that will help.

Umm is the anemone healthy?? I might have stung or did something to the fish. You said that the fish started getting bad after they stop hosting the anemone. I have a white molle do something like that before. It started fine for like four days then started to have these heart atttacks like things. Then swim wried and then start again.

Any air stones, protein skimmer or sump ? This is how a saltwater tank gets oxygen.

60F ??
Is the water really that cold If so, that would be your answer!! And where do you live that it can get that cold this time of year?? And how did it go from 78 down to 60 so quickly??
I'm guessing you and BEARjuice are in the same household?

I was wondering...
Fishchick...you should start your own thread in the FW section. You'll get more help there.
Bear...I'm not sure why you lost your clowns. Your numbers all look good. So it's nothing obvious. Hopefully one of the other SW guys can stop on by.
