Striped goby flashing
Hello all...
I'm still very much a newbie with saltwater tanks. I have a 46 gallon bowfront, 24 lbs of cured live rock, live sand as substrate, 2 blue damsels, 1 gray angel, 1 lawnmower blenny, 2 clownfish (currently quarantined in the hospital tank because they were acting strange, by only swimming in one place, in a corner at the bottom of the tank), and 1 striped goby.
I noticed 2 days ago that the striped goby has started flashing his belly against the sand. He is showing no white spots as of yet, nor does he have red gills. He eats like a champ (flake food and frozen shrimp), as well as doing an excellent job at keeping the sand clean.
My water levels are all excellent: Ammonia 0; Nitrite 0; pH8.0; Nitrate reading 10
The worrisome part is that I am heading out of town for 6 days, and I'm worried about the goby getting sick with ich. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what to do about him? Should I just leave him be?
Thanks in advance...
