| Hermit crabs eating everything
I have heard from many how great hermits are for tank cleanup and thought what the heck I will get a few for my tank as the kids love them. We have land crabs in another tanks so now we can have water ones. Big mistake, they have wiped out almost everything. They are eating the bad the good the everything and then trying to eat each other as well. I have been feeding them extra to try and keep them off of the good things I would like to keep example I gave them some squid fresh from the market. Cut it into tiny pieces and as soon as it hit the water they smelled it and came marching no joking it was hermit parade for the squid. They munch it and seem fine for oh about hr then back to munching my stuff. I have rocks that were beautiful and now have been stripped bare. I had no choice but to remove them and now my quarantine tank is a hermit paradise LOL Boy wish I never bought those. One question does this always happen or did I just get a crazy bunch LOL
