my new emerald crab :)

hes so cool its about 2 am here and my moon lights are on adn its the first time ive seen him since i brought him home here is a picture

yup he hides most of the day whenbot my actinics and daylights are on but if the actinics are on alone he will scuttle around (bad diatoms im limiting the light)

They are definitely cool looking. I bought 3 the other day myself to help with some of the algae growing my live rock. The other 2 hide during the day but one apparently doesn't care if day or night.

probally male. IT matters. it you have more than one male they will fight but i guess you got 2 females and 1 male. mine was 10 bucks! kinda steep but oh well

They're supposed to help by eating bubble algae (valonia sp.), but I don't think the two emerald crabs I'm keeping got that memo. I still have to remove the little bubbles weekly. Guess there are other things they'd rather eat first.

Nice picture, I sure miss mine. Mine came out during the day, but then again he was one of the few critters in the tank. I paid 3$ for mine
