I got a hang on protien skimmer but the ugly skimmer parts inside the tank look ugly. I wanted to cover it up with live rock but im not sure if the parts require maintenance and it might be harder to clean the tank. I dont want to be moving rocks around and scaring the fishies. The ugly skimmer parts that are ugly really do look ugly. How can i conceal the skimmer?

i think i have seen people hide it with mirrors like a box but not sure about the LR idea havent tried it before

The mirror idea sounds nice but I would need to make it. It might be cheaper than live rock and takes up way less space. You gave me the idea of making something sort of like those 3D backrounds.

It might require in the future. Like to clean the pump. I have a little Idea for you though. Make like an eggcrate wall box thing big enough for your skimmer to fit inside with room for it to be removed and cover the eggcrate with rocks like a rockwall.

(pic-the lines with the gaps is supposedly the eggcrate. Also make a bast for the eggcrate. Once that is done, just google on making a rockwall, but instead of the background eggcrate, your covering the skimmer
