Hair Algae

I have this awesome piece of LR (small) with some GBP polyps, a teeny weeny lil clam/muscle and little creatures living on it. It's got a bad case of hair algae. It's yet to spread to the rest of my tank but I know if I don't do something it soon will.
I don't want to get rid of the rock. How can I treat it? I've been taking it out of the tank, and yes using a drummel to take it off. But it just keeps coming back. Is there anything special I can do to the rock while I have it out of the tank?
I having no other algae issues. My water parameters are good.

I had some on some of my LR and i took a tooth brush to it and got all the green off. it hasn't came back yet. Its been about 2 months. Unfortunately i haven't had enough experience in this department. Keep trying eventually you will find a cure.

Hey I found a site that may help you with your problem. Check it out it looks fairly cheap and easy to build. http://www.fishforum.com/saltwater-a...ver-diy-18000/
If you go through the pages the design seems to get better and "prettier"

Here is something that looks usefull
