Bubble Algae?

I just got new coral in my tank from a relative i recieved it, knowingly, with little bubble algae growing on it. He had several emerald crabs in the tank that did nothing, is there anything else that could be done about this? Right now amongts the coral the only live stock is a coral banded boxer shrimp, a hermit crab, and 3 snails. Its not too big a deal but if i could nip it in the butt it would be nice.

I always siphon bubble algae out with my weekly water changes.

Whatever you do, don't pop em! They'll spread like crazy. I agree with siphoning them or you could also just pick em off.

Here's an interesting article on bubble algae, from the magazine of Reef Central Online:

Emeralds always worked for me, but usually only when other forms of algae weren't plentifull.
