Punta Cana Sand

Hey everyone, Im going to punta cana in a few weeks and i was wadering if anyone knows if the sand there is safe and also if i can bring a 5gal bucket back sealed in a big luggage bag

Hi The Fonz:

Sand in Punta Cana is incredibly good as quality fine grain, it is mostly "white" in coloration. It won't be a problem for you to collect it in such small quantities, for non-comercial use, local authorities won't bother you. As far as bringing it back home, I suggest you contact the airline and US customs and ask them straight-forward what you would need to do.
