A few questions:

Ok first off my last thread got misteriously deleted after i made a quick add...

but here is the basic jist of it...

I bought a 20g tall with stand for 20 dollars the other day... as for right now that is all i have because my other tank is going to be my wife's (means i take care, plant, and stock she just chooses what goes in...)

I know i am going to want to have a 10g sump possibly with a DIY algae scrubber, and a DIY ref. for extra measure... I was wondering if anyone has some plans for a DIY overflow box... I am going to need some help on what pump i will need for the return and how to set it up...

also I found a Linkable t-5 setup that is very cheap... the only thing is i didn't see a ballast... the next step is a DIY 85-105w 6500K CFL setup or http://www.thatpetplace.com/pet/prod/236410/product.web as a T-5 setup...http://www.thatpetplace.com/pet/prod/209726/product.web

next on my list of questions is with an algae scrubber and a refugium do I need to have a skimmer?

also how many watts do I need in a heater?

what kind of salt do i need?

I've been reading into this for a while but never got into the what you need bottom line..

ok I guess I should have said earlier i want to keep a couple oc. clown and maybe a few gromis... along with a few soft corals and a clam

the alternative i thought of trying is seahorses or mini seahorses... i don't know much about them or their needs... but they have a certain charm that i know i and everyone here would like...

As far as the skimmer goes some people use them and some dont. Its according to how your water quality is, etc.
For the heater the "stealth" ones are the best, you can set the temp and it cuts on/off to get it to that temp.

If you want to keep a clam I would suggest getting metal halides. They need super high wattage of lights.

Salt mixes are very important for your quality/wheter or not you will have to dose, etc. I use crystal sea marine mix. Oceanic salt and Red Sea are great as well. .

The sea horses are high maintence guys. They need prestine water (so do corals) and 3 times a day feedings to survive.

The homepage has a ton of info on setting up a saltwater aquarium, research is the best way to start.

ok I found for not much more a T-5HO fixture... its not built for aquariums but it has individual reflectors... is there anything wrong with using something along these lines with aquarium bulbs... i'm not asking if they'll fit, as i have already figured out they will i'm just asking if there is anything wrong with using one of these with a homemade mount... also what order should i put things in? saltwater, LR, sand, wait, wait, wait, fish... or another order? here is the light I found http://www.accessdiscounts.com/sku-68006.html ... please if you have any info please let me know... i've been researching like crazy for about 6 months and casually looking into it since i started looking into aquariums...

also just thought if I use t-5HO would I need 96w or would 48 do fine... not that it changes too much but it would be nice not to overcook my tank...
