which fish should i add?

I have a 55 gal; 40 lbs live rock; 60 lbs crushed coral; 1 blue damsel, 4 hermit crabs, 6 apple snails.

No protein skimmer or UV filter.

After a poor start in December(lost $200 in fish the pet store swore I was ready for) everything seems to be ready for another fish.

My plan is to add a fish every 6-8 weeks. I'm looking for something hardy and bright. What suggestions do you have? Other than promising my daughter we would get a peppermint shrimp in the future, I'm open.

If you can catch that damsel and get it out, I would. It will be the bully of the tank. Once you get that out clowns are a favorite. They're bright and colorful. Blue/green chromis are a a type of damsel but are much nicer than , blue, yellow tails, or domino damsels. Also, a Royal Gramma would add some purple and yellow to the tank. Firefish come in white/orange and yellow/purple but can be skiddish at first.
