I have never got rid of my SW tank, after posting it on craigslist forever...
Months ago I had a pink and green emerald crab, well they went to coral chopping so I gor rid of them...
Well... I walked over to the tank to cut off the bright light and I saw something "hairy" and pinkish, it was a rose emerald crab. I haven't bought any new corals, or added anything since back in Jan.
I wonder if the emeralds I had had babies and I am just now seeing them all grown up?

Its definitely possible. Or it might have been a LR hitchhiker that you never saw.

More often than not emerald crab spawn don't survive to maturity. I would guess it was a hitch hiker you hadn't noticed before.
