Inverts
do you have to treat inverts as fish when it comes to adding them to the tank?? for instance a couple monthly or would if be safe to add bi weekly?

They can be added weekly. Shrimp should only be added to a tank that has completely stabilized.

Many other inverts need a stable or mature tank. Some are very sensitive to changes in water conditions, and others need a lot of micro-flora and -fauna in the water to feed on.
