| They can act as cleaners and will scavenge extra food around the tank, but I've never heard of them consuming aiptasia or bristle worms. Never heard of them eating algae either.
Except for really really large specimens, bristle worms are generally considered good for the tank as they eat excess food from the substrate.
I am wanting to add one to my tank, but they are one of the more pricey shrimp and I'm having trouble finding one in town. How big is your tank? I would practice keeping shrimp starting with a few peppermints, and if they live a few months, then add a fire shrimp. The peppermints will take care of aiptasia and you MAY see them during the day, though mine are mostly nocturnal.
