I just found a great deal. It is a thirty gallon tank and stand for fifty dollars. My questions, is a thirty gallon to small for a SW tank? If so what size should I be looking for?

Not at all. My first sw tank was a 29 gallon. Just keep yourself limited to small numbers (3-5) of small fish (3-4 inch range).

The problem I have is buying used. I feel that it is just to good of a deal. But I am going to take a look at it. I need to save up and purchase all the equipment.

If it does not have water in it when you see it, ask them to put water in so you can verify it does not leak. Other than that, it sounds like a great deal.
