Problem with Yellow Tang

My colleague at work asked me to pose this question...her husband has a 75 gallon salt water tank. There were three fish in the tank. Two died - the yellow tang remained alone for a few months. Recently he purchased a brown-eyed tang and a blue trigger.

Since the addition of the two new fish he also cleaned the tank fully at the same time he added the new two new fish. The yellow tang has now stopped eating for the last week. He says his water parameters are on target. Yesterday, he tried feeding him a new favored tang food but he did not eat it.

Has anyone experienced this? What can he do to stimulate the fish's appetite? Is the tang showing stress behavior because of the changes in the tank?

Thanks...

He may be having issues with the new fish that were recently added....Ask him if he has witnessed any type of aggression between the 2 tang fish...Also, Trigger fish are very aggressive...The yellow tang may be getting bullied by one or both of the new fish...

Have him try brine shrimp....Live brine is almost impossible for tangs to refuse...

try removing the other two fish for a few days and see if that fixes the problem if he's still not eating then

Thank you both for the input. I relayed it to him. He's going out to get the food tonight and if that doesn't work, he'll separate them to see the behavior. Appreciate your help.
