SW Heaters

Need some help deciding on heater. Reliablity and wattage for a 210 tank with a sump around 40 gallons or so ( not sure but I'm getting the pro series 3000 sump, covered in expense by LFS)

I figure I'm going to need atleast 2 possibly 3 so placing one in the sump is also possible

The guide line for heaters is 3watts per gallon. So at 250gal you will need 750watts worth of heaters. Personally I would get 2 300watt heaters, and 1 200watt heater, and place all of them in your sump. There are many good brands out there. This is the brand that I have and they work great.

A lot of people agree that this is one of the best heaters out there: http://www.drsfostersmith.com/produc...m?pcatid=12060
They have a plastic casing, so they're not as fragile as glass heaters. They also have a nice auto shut off feature.

I was told today by my LFS that Aqueon makes a very good heater and Eheim makes a good one as well

I'm curious as to how well the titaniums stack up to the glass ones and which ones should I steer clear of altogether

Eheim is a very good heater. I like the titanium ones that I have because they can not break like a glass one can if you acidently drop something on it "Which will happen at times". They have worked well for me for many years.

I was thinking of purchasing a Titanium one, what brand would you recommend?
