i have brown algae everywhere now. it gets worse every time i leave the lights on for a while (12hrs or more). my ammonia, nitrite and nitrate are all 0. i can't leave the lights off since i have some mushrooms i got with a purchase. what should i do about it? incidentally what do you feed or supplement mushroom with?

This is normal cyano bacteria. Try some snails turbo or nassarius snails would work great and clean up that algae pretty well.

I 2nd the snails...cerith snails are also good. Also, cut back the duration of your lighting...12 hours is a bit long. Cut it back to 8 or so.
