All a cycled tank means is that there is enough bacteria in there to handle the ammonia/nitrite being produced...it doesn't preclude that some die off could still be ocurring. You mentioned that the tank has only been set up for a month, so I am presuming the live rock is no older than that...which is still pretty new. New live rock typically whitens for the first few weeks, before gradually beginning to color again. You mentioned you are concerned about calcium...have you tested to see what your levels are? If you are keeping calcifying corals, you want to maintain 400-420 ppm. If you were overdosed on calcium, I think you would be seeing cloudy water (precipitation) and/or a crusty build up on surfaces.
