Hi guys Im going to get a new 90g tank for my Birthday. (Got to love my wife) And i wanted some suggestion on what fish would be good for a salt tank beginner and in what order should i get what i want and how much time should i leave between each purchase First off i want some invert i love the emerald crab and the klenner skunk shrimp, and maybe a couple of hermit crab. Next on my liste is a engeener/convict goby/blemmy (i love the little digger they have one on display at my local pet store and got to have at least one) Then maybe clown fish and the reste well im not sure what would mix with those guys? Oh by the way i love schooling fish if it helps anyone. And do the fish i like mix together with the invert? Would love you input guys!!

welcome to fishlroe dr! ( if i havent welcomed before) LOL ...I have not a clue about sw and im sure plenty will be here to help out, but congrats on the new tank!!!!! such a nice wifey cant wait to see pics!

Green chromis are good schooling fish. Get like 6 or 8 of them and they'll be happy. Emerald crabs are cool but beware if you get corals. The ones that I have loved my polyps and mushrooms. I had to move them out of my main tank and place them in my quarantine tank. I'm probably gonna take them back because of this. But they are cool to watch.

And you could get 2 clown fish since they tend to pair up anyways.

Oh by the way wanted to know the pro and con of bare bothom versus sand. And in you opinion am i better with a very fine sand or something bigger?
