Red leg hermits clean rocks and such. Blue legs do also but reds are
greedier. Do you have LR or LS? Helps filter your water!

welcome,
you mentiones damsels? STAY CLEAR from damsels... lol
Youd wish youd had later... theyre pretty much bullies... harrass and might kill your other peaceful fish....

on the sand suggestion.. Go with Nassarius snails... they like to dig themselves in the sand... theyre nocturnal so they will hide in the sand during they day... and come out and scavenge for food during the night... leaving your sand spotless...
thats what cleans my sand in my 75 gallon.. well that and a sand sifting starfish.

i set it up march 22 im thinking about making it a mini reef right now all i have is a floursent 50/50 dual 20W coral kight bulb a want to upgrade def. if i make it a mini reef i have a penguin 100 filter and a pre filter on my rio 180 to help keep the water free of debris also a LEE'S protien skimmer rated for 30 gals.

and the damsels are just the cheapest fish i could find to cycle the tank better its better than buying 30 dollar fish to have them die due to some unforeseen water abnormality

yeah .. i would take those damsels back.. for store credit?
they would cause havoc in a tank that small to other inhabitants....
but yeah what kind of coral do u want to keep?

It doesnt say where you are from, but if youre from so cal.. id like to help you out... give you some mushrooms and some xenia.. i have lots.. they keep growing and spreading..
