Reverse Osmosis Water Filter System

If you have this with a reef tank do you do water changes? Or just add salt on a normal basis?

Yes, you will still need to do water changes. Some of the trace elements in the water are used up over time, and water changes help replenish them and keep your tank healthy.

Aside from that, water changes are the only output for nitrates and other waste products that build up in the water over time.

If you are talking about make-up water from daily evaporation, you should not be adding the salt to that since the salt does not evaporate and you would end up increasing the salinity.
