congratulations on your buy. I lost my auction (for a beautiful piece of driftwood). Glad someone else had a good night on eBay.

well I have not received it yet but I ordered it from ommm...elegant reef. That is the store's name. It was the cheapest I could find and its not even base rock. I dont need anything fancy because im new to this . Ill let you know how it works out.

I do have a powerhead that I could put in. The filters do have 2 jets on them that I have pointed in the direction that is supposed to give the most flow, says the instructions. They do have a good amount of pressure but if you think I need more I could put the powerhead in.

You should have a flow of 10 x volume min, ie tank = 20g x 10 = 200gph
take off the flow rate of your filter, and that will give you the flow you need to add.
Now I know some will say max out the flow until the sand moves. but for now put in the power head, you can always add another later.
What is the flow rate on your filter and power head?

the power head is like 200 GPH, and the filter I think is about 220.
