How to start an overflow siphon

Hey everybody, I am gonna post the directions on how I found out how to start my overflow siphon. I came on here last night around 11pm, after many unsuccesful attempts to get my overflow box working, searching on directions to start said siphon and I couldn't find anything. Maybe it should be common knowledge but I nearly flipped out trying to do it and pouring water all over my house...LOL

What I did was I have my overflow box hanging off the back of my tank and that clear U bend tube going from there into my tank. I took a piece of airline tubing (stuff I use on my fresh tanks air pump) and stuck it in the U Bend tube right to the center. I then put the tube back into the tank and overflow box. and put the other end of the tubing in my mouth....Then poured about a half galon of water into the overflow box and sucked the air out of the U bend tube and WHAM! perfect siphon.

Maybe this is something easy to figure out But I had a **** of a time with it.....Hope anyone who searches for that topic again can find something now...LOL
