A lot of stuff!!!
Hello all. So I've been at this great hobby for about 2 months now. My setup is a 30 gallon with about 20 lbs of live rock. I am using the Emperor 280 HOB filter along with the Hydor Koralia 2. I have a couple questions. I went home for the Thanksgiving Holidays last Wednesday and returned this past Sunday. I had a friend feed my fish once a day. Everything was fine when I left, but when I returned, I found that a side of my torch coral had died. My water parameters are perfect and I had done a water change 3 days before I left. So my first question is what could have happened...at the time I had a yellow tang, a yellow-tailed blue damsel and a chromis damsel along with two hermit crabs and one cleaner shrimp. Could they have eaten my coral? Second, I have my powerhead set up on the left side glass...everything from the middle to right side of my tank as far as sand...is clean..but everything on the left side of the tank is dirty...my guess is because it's not getting enough flow...I already have the Hydor 2....would adding another powerhead of the same type be too much flow? Lastly, I have my rocks arranged in the boring back wall type...could you guys give me some ideas on how I could change it so it looks a little more interesting? Thanks so much!
