Am i good to go?

hi guys i have read so much my head hurts lol, just wondering when my powerhead Hydor Koralia 2 Marine Aquarium Reef power head 2300lph/600 GPH come's whats the best place for it and is that all i need?, also how much salt do i put in a 120ltr/ 30gal tank with about 50kg of live rock, and when i do top offs how do i do it? add salt water or just tap water witch has been treated. i got my refractometer now thanks ebay lol, skimmer, digital pH tester, nitrate and nitrite,ammonia test kits normal lighting + t5 lighting, heater, exterrnal canister,CARIBSEA ARAG live sand 20LBS, is that all i need

do i need a UV light any? recommendations??

Powerhead placement depend on how the live rock is stacked. I would place one powerhead on opposite side of your tank, pointing upward and at each other. You need to break the surface tension of the water at the surface. This keep that scummy film for occurring at the surface. Add salt as per direction on the salt bag. Top off with RO/DI (or just RO) water or distilled water (you must be careful with distilled ... some companies use copper pipes in the distillation process). UV not needed.

cool so i don't need a UV Sterilizer thats good, do i need a RO ?? as I'm buying a water purifier that goes in the pipe of the skimmer? also cant i just use tap water with chlorine remover in it for top off??. thanks for all your help

A RO unit would be good ($$$), if your tap water tests are bad. Most people buy purified water from a grocery store. Can you get saltwater from your LFS ? Or even better, can you get NSW (natural saltwater) anywhere ?

no none around by me and cant buy it, my tap water is very good no copper etc just chlorine

Just use something like AmQuel to treat the water. Also I would test for phosphates too. Did you say you had a water filter also ?

yeah fluval 2. bio balls in there and then some live rock.
