10 gallon nano

Just wanted to hear what you guys thought of this

one common clown
two green chromis
one firefish
some mushroom and zooanthid polpys. I possibly want to add a neon goby or sum other small fish. Thanks for any suggestions

hmmmm... I guess it is your choice but personally I would start off slow and then add some over the months

I would just keep the firefish.

I agree. 10 gallons is small for a marine tank. I'd go with one clown (make sure it is a smaller species like ocellaris or percula) and one firefish. Nothing more IMO. Marine stocking is much different than FW.

Mushrooms and zoanthids will do well under proper lighting. I'd recommend a minimum of 40W power compact, although increasing your lighting from there would open up more options for corals.

I will be getting t-5 lighting that is 40 watt iam getting a 100 GPH power filter as well. I read that some people have had success without a protein skimmer. what do you guys think of that?

You don't absolutely need a protein skimmer on a nano. I kept a 20 gallon without one and it did quite well before I upgraded the tank and added a skimmer.

IMO you can get more smaller corals and just the clown.

Clown and/or the Firefish, wouldn't keep any other fish. Chromis like to be in groups and school, they need some room. I was actually successful keeping a 4line wrasse, royal gramma, and a skunk cleaner shrimp in a 10gal. The wrasse decided to carpet surf after about a year in the tank.

I never use a skimmer on my 10gal, just keep up on the maintenance.
