scooter blenny

I have a possibility of obtaining on a scooter blenny which won't cost me anything beyond the cost of the corals that I'm already buying. My question is it safe to put in? I have a yellow tang and a flame angel that were added 6 months ago. They're not aggressive but I haven't added any fish since them and I don't know how they'll react to a new fish since they are known as semi-aggressive.

Any info would be good....and thanks.

I think it would be fine from a compatability standpoint. Keep in mind also...the scooter blenny is actually a dragonet (think mandarin) and is difficult to keep for the same reasons. Be sure your tank is ready!

I have been reading they like to eat copods...which I'm pretty sure I don't have.

Well aged reef tank w/ live rock will definitely have PODS ( Wonders of Live Rock). I don't think they will eat any algae. May feed mysis and/or other fz. food which drops down to bottom or on top of the rocks.
Don't see a problem as compatibility goes.

No compatibility issues here. Yes they do enjoy copods. Make sure you have a back-up plan incase omething goes wrong.

My Scooters will constantly graze the live rocks eating pods but also picking up on some filamentous algae...I've even seen one grab some daphnia I threw in the tank
