compatability

hi can any one tell me if i can put a clown fish in with a yellow tailed damsel, marine shop said I couldn't but reading on the net is says I can.

It is definitely possible depending on the interior layout and size of tank.
How big is the tank and how long it has been running?

Either that or may not know saltwater at all. LOL
About 25 Gal and well cycled, I hope.
They are definitely compatible. If have live rock, most likely Y/T will spend more time towards top and Clowns will be towards bottom if given anemone. Maroon clown will spend its time towards top.

ive about 10 kilo live rock and well cycled,so i think ill give it a go thanks for advice.

It will depend on the individual fish. They could either fight to the death or be perfect friends. You will just need to watch for fighting and be ready to move one if they do fight. It would be best to add them at the same time to the tank or add the clownfish first then the damsel at a later date.
