Good bye old fish hello new fish!!

Well I use to have a maroon clownfish and a three striped damsel but soon learned that they were not a good chose. Well I gave them to my LFS and I made up a new list. The fish are not to exceed four inches. I'm wondering if my new list is ok(again). A ocellaris clownfish, six line wrasse, purple firefish, a skunk cleaner, and a pygym angelfish. They will take up about 14 inches of space. I think they are ok.I have research them and know that angels are somewhat not reef safe. I plan on making it a somewhat reef. Well what do yall think??

Thanks I finally get a angel in my tank!!! Oh I might just get some Exnia and polyps. I just bought the lights so I can have an anemone or two.

what are your lights? You definatly need to slow down. It is a general rule that anemones shouldnt be kept ni tanks younger than 6 months because if they die they can and most likley will kill everything in the tank.

I'm not a saltwater guru, but I know mollies are brackish water fish. I've never seen them in a saltwater set up before.

Yes mollies CAN be acclimate to a full SW tank, However , It needs to be done over the course of days, increasing the salinaty a little bit each day. howm any watts are your T-5's and do the bulbs have indevidual reflectors? In a 28 gallon tank i would NOT add an anemone. You can but i personally think the risk is too great. I have a 150 watt Metal Halide over my 24 gallon tank and yet i am still resisting the anemone urge. Please disregard anythign your LFS says about them chances are it wont make it.

Alot of people use black mollies to test out their salwater tank before they add proper saltwater fish.

if they die they WILL kill everything in your tank. There are corals out there that are much prettier and have significantly less risk associated with them.

Like the torch coral or frog spawn

Look at my tank. I have no Anemone and yet it is as active and colorful as ever.

Yeah but I don't want to many corals. Remember that i'm getting a pygmy angelfish so I don't want it to think I have enough corals to go around. I want an anemone because they look cool with clownfish. It won't die if you have enough light and feed it. I' getting a toadstool coral. Its on my coral list.

that is a torch coral and my clowns host it oo just like an anemone without the constant worrying. Anemones also have a bad habit of wandering into a powerhead and being sucked in and chewed up.

Oh well I might conserd getting a torch coral instead of an anemone since they look alike so much. My powerheads have a thing about the bottom so nothing can get in only water.
