The powerhead will still suck an anemone in. Thing on the bottom or not.

Yes you can put 2 clownfish in at the same time but only after the cycle :-)

I waited 4 months before i got my torch. How many watts are your lights? But overall they are really easy to take care of. they require moderate to high light adn moderate flow. here isa good site for lookign up requirements.

They are 96 watts. Yeah I've already read it. Hey I have an algae boom and only goes down when the lights are off. Should I leave the lights off?

I cant. The alage is kinda wavy and brown. I think only light makes it grow.

sounds like diatoms. if it covers everything in a brown film it is diatoms and it will go away soon

yes. it doesn't really matter. All new tanks go through this stage. It is caused because of excess silica in the water. Don't worry though it will be gone in due time. Leave your lights on as you normally would :-)

Just to add to this thread about coral that clown fish like. I have a pair of ocellaris clowns who love my frogspawn. And frogspawn is one of those corals that are easy to look after. They do need decent lighting as they get most of their food through photosynthesis but will also benifit from addition feedings of baby brine and stuff like that.

I've also seen at my LFS, clowns in a type of leather coral.

Anyways, here's a pic of one my clowns in the frogspawn:

It was like $40 or so from Liveaquaria.com. Plus lots of $$ for shipping. There were originally 3 stalks but one died. The other 2 though are doing great. And they don't seem be concerned by the clowns. Funny thing is I've seen the clowns help provide food for the frogspawn!!

frog spawn torch and bubble coral are all from the same family that produce the same type of sting an anemone does. This is why i think the clowns like to rub up in them :-)

Hey I got new corals growing out of my LR. There a very small and clear. I think thoses are mushrooms. There look like mushrooms. There are about 5-9 of them i'm not sure they are very small. I guess my tank is very healthy if I got corals growing. Oh should I clean the diatoms off the other coral??

Hey just took another look and I think they might be the anemones that people don't like. I'm not sure they are too small to tell.
