Hello Luman and Welcome to Fish Lore. If you'll go to the top of this screen and click on "fish forum home", scroll down to "saltwater beginners" you'll find a lot of helpful information there. I'm sure you'll get some responses from some of our salt members as well.
Have fun and enjoy the site!

My experience has been that it is not that much difficult than freshwater fish. It depends alot on the fish you are keeping, but it is also the same in freshwater. For example an Angel or a Discuss fish are harder to keep than a gold fish is. Same in waltwater fish, you have more difficult fish to take care of than others. The easiest being the Damels, they are the gold fish of saltwater.

Well if you are giong to keep fish only, not much more different than the freshwater set up. In the other hand if you decide to keep corals, than you are going to have to go with special lighting and a protein skimmer, or you can add a turf filter.

Well if you kept freshwater fish, than you must know about how to set up the basic aquarium. You can look into wether you want to keep corals or not, than go from there.

One of the major difference is that the fish tend to cost around 10 times more than freshwater fish.
