30g oceanic cube

I was wondering if this tank would make a good SW tank? I love the design of these tanks. It also looks like I could save a bit on the lighting with the lenth being 20inches.

Oceanics usually make good smaller sw tanks...are you thinking of going fish only, fish only with live rock or a reef setup? Choosing this will determine what (if any) modifications you should make to your tank.

My other post was on my biocube for modifiying it. I was looking at a glass cube tank, not one of the all in one tanks. They look so pretty, and just shallow enough to make a good reef tank which is what I would do, w/ my next sw I am going to get a refuge going from day one.

Sounds like your MTS has followed you to the salty side
Have you looked at setting up 1 sump for all the tanks?
You could save some $ on filters, skimmers etc.
The cube sound good, what lighting would you be running?

Yep, its followed me to the salty side too! I really don't know how I could set up one sump for all the tanks, I am going to put the other sw across the room from the biocube. I wish I could.
I am pretty sure I want halides for my new tank.

well you COULD do it, but that'd involve tearing up floors, super strong pumps to account for distance yadda yadda yadda...not worth it LOL

Cube tanks do make nice tanks...think of going with a theme..I did a hawaiian reef in a 30 gallon cube for a friend...looks good (well I think)

lol, we are going to tear the floors up in Jan lol.. I am trading my beige carpet for hardwood floors.
I didn't think of doing a "theme" but I love that idea!!! (thanks!) I actually caught my hubby looking online on his phone at sw aquariums, so I am thinking I will end up w/ the cube sooner than expected (fingers crossed)
