We are getting a 55 gallon tank soon and want to either do Cichlids or saltwater probably fish only. Would this kit from Marineland work or do we need more?

It would be good to start with,everything there is suitable for a marine set up without life. You will need an aerator,some type of skimmer/sump/filter (the one provided doesn't do much,just bare minimum) a water test kit (cheaper to buy kit,than individual tests)

Thanks, it is just something we are looking into. I'm not sure if we are ready for a saltwater set up yet, but we are able to get a 55 gallon so we are checking out all our options.
