I think I am going to set up a 55 of a 70 gallon saltwater tank soon. Any advive? What fish? How do I maintain it? What lighting? Which live plants?

Your questions are a little broad to answer effectively. There are lots of fish options...do you want fish only? Fish only with live rock? Reef? Lighting needs will also depend on what kind of setup you want. Try reading this as a starting point, then post questions that it inspires.

As above wot type of setup ? are you having a sump ? research equipment ,, what fish was you looking at (you favorite) and work around that for stocking , i would start with hardy easy to mix fish like less aggressive damsels , clown fish , wrasse, tangs, and a good clean up crew ,

I deffinetly want clown fish but I am open to any suggestions about fish for beginners. Are there any plants that certain fish would be good with? Is there any maintinence that is different from freshwater? I definetly want a community tank because it is my first time. I'm not really going to model the tank off of a specific environment.
