Powerhead Question on a new(ish) tank

Hey guys i bought a power head on friday Set it up and added fish to my cycled tank (1 month!!) Got there in the end

0 nitrate
0 nitrite
0 ammonia
8.4 Ph
24 Degrees
1.024 SG

And it has a settiing to mix air into the flow - if i turn the air valve open it creates some foam at the top which is rapidly moving and disperssing and the flow is a lot stronger.. Is this needed as the tank is full of bubble's thanks

You don't need the air if you have good water flow through out the tank and the surface of the water is rippling!

HTH,

Daniel

Agreed, i'd leave out the air. Just get a good waterflow.

Umm, are you sure it's cycled? You should get a nitrate reading....
