Wow, from what I saw of that store on their website, it was max at temptation...it looks to me like you both were pretty much under control...............looking forward to pics also....
Oh ya, you said "first trip" - "probably go at least 2 more times" - "unbelievable looking bettas".- "best cusomer" - "red carpet treatment"...........can't wait to hear about trips 3 & 4..................That is a recipe for spending $$$$ if I ever saw one. Lucky you guys!!

Well she took pic's last night but we haven't gotten them downloaded yet. Jacq is out buying stuff for the store today but will download pic's a little later on.................On another note, The wrasse we put in th 28g swam around for a couple of hours and then poof.............No where to be seen. Do you think he is just hiding or should I go and move some of the live rock to try and find him and make sure he's ok  |

He's hiding...They are known to do that....Look for him at night and at feeding time....I didn't see 2 of my peppermint shrimp for weeks and then one day there they were!

It has taken a long time and thousands of dollars to become one of they're best customers and get the red carpet treatment..............They were not very friendly in the begining. Not to patient with noobies. I guess now that they know we know what we're doing pretty much they are more than cool. The problem with this sale is there is so much stuff on sale. Brand new style of tanks that looked so cool, but at some point we have to show some kind of self control. Jacq just called and is on her way home, which means probably a trip to the LFS  |

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!
this is jacq posting on ricks name. we've been worrying all night and day that we lost our beautifus wrasse.
rick took all the rock out and nothing. then just as i got home and THERE SHE WAS!!!!!!!!!!!
then i saw her bury herself completely in the SAND!!!
then i researched and found this:
"If the beautiful Wrasse that you just added to your display tank has suddenly vanished, don’t fret – it is probably just buried under the sand, either sleeping or acclimating itself to its new surroundings.
This is but one of the unique characteristics of these fishes." 
ahhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!

I told Rick that Jacqi......I explained that is their nature to hide....Leave him alone......He'll come out when he is comfortable but don't expect to see much of him ever.....

Karen..............  You've got to be kidding me. We have 6 betta's. Believe me the temptation is there. The betta's they had were so beautiful...We just can't right now...........We might be selling our house and moving to a much bigger house, if that happens look out.
As for the wrasse.................Unbelievable the way she burrows.

meet Obi, our new goldfish... 
he's BIG!!! you can see how big next to BABY.
unfortunately he came home with 3 big anchor worms near his side flipper (you can see them in the close up pic)
we had to do worm surgery right away on him so as not to infect the tank 
(k, i'm gonna eat dinner now and i'll post on the new nano fish and new chiclids in a bit) |

Your new fish are gorgeous!!!! I am soooo jealous, lol. I've been working the last two days and would have given anything to go to a fish sale. Can you guys post some pics of your whole saltwater setup? I would love to see it. That is my dream to have a saltwater tank someday 
Hey Jacq....bad news  My grandmother came into town unexpectedly this weekend, so there's no chance of me coming to meet you guys this weekend. Trust me, I would much rather come up than spend time knitting with Granny The things we sacrifice for family, lol. You will have to go to the fish sale a few more times so that I can live vicariously through you though We will have to meet another time though |

awe, sorry you can't make it....but nice that you get to see your Granny!  we never know how long we have to see our older family members.
As for the whole tank, the 28 is still a bit cloudy as Rick took out ALL the Rocks today looking for the wrasse i'll try to get some pics when it clears up.
the 6 gal, salty nano, i took a few, not great  but some, i'll post soon.
as for the sale.....i'm trying to STAY AWAY they got in MORE FISH today!! Note to self: "Don't GO!!!"
and like i said, i'll be in Oceanside in Sept!! |

Yeah, I'm bummed, but I only get to see my grandma about twice a year, and she is really starting to slow down. It is so sad when we start to see that happen Anyways, it should be a good visit.
Can't wait to see the pics. Come on though, they got MORE fish in today?! You know you wanna go and see what they have....hint....hint

I gotta work today.....so im off the hook
Sad news.......
We woke up this morning and the New Wrasse was DEAD 
we didn't know her that good, but it was still sad 
i just HATE to think of them suffering in my care, to the point of dying.
and Obi the goldfish isn't looking so good either
oh, i forgot we got 3 new angels too....
i haven't taken pics yet, cuz i was trying to let them settle in. |

Hey guys,
Sorry to hear about the wrasse. That is such a bummer. Do you have a gaurantee on it from the LFS? If you just got it, I'm sure it was already sick. I don't think that it died by any fault of yours.
